This Scientific Journals Portal of SES/SP was officially launched on 14/05/2021 in an online event, and had an opening speech by Dr. Jean Gorinchteyn, Secretary of State for Health, who stressed its importance for the institution. The Portal Management Team, comprised of professionals Eliete Cortez, Lilian Schiavon and Renan Predasoli, and the editors of the São Paulo Epidemiological Bulletin – BEPA, Dr. Edlaine F. de Moura Villela and the Revista do Instituto Adolfo Lutz, Dr. Pedro, also participated. Luiz S. Pinto.
This new Portal uses the OJS (Open Journal System) platform that promotes open access and the improvement of academic publication for the management and publication of scientific journals. It allows full autonomy for the editors of the magazines for its operationalization and publication, it provides resources for indicators and metrics of access to the articles, in addition to allowing the monitoring of the number of accesses to the Portal through Google Analytics.
It also aims to structure and bring together the main scientific journals in a unique and virtual environment, offering differentiated services such as the electronic management of journals through an online editorial flow.
Along with the launch, there was a celebration of the 80 years of Revista do Instituto Adolfo Lutz and the 120 years of the Instituto Butantan.
New scientific journals from SES/SP can be inserted, as long as they meet the established criteria.
This is another initiative that aims to strengthen and promote scientific communication within the scope of SES/SP.
